N の上に あります

上の = 'on top of'. 机の上に = on the desk. あります for inanimate.

  • 机の上に本があります。

    There is a book … the desk.

N の下に います

下の = 'under'. います for animate things like animals.

  • 猫は椅子の下にいます。

    The cat is … the chair.

N の中に あります

中の = 'inside'. かばんの中に = inside the bag.

  • かばんの中に財布があります。

    There is a wallet … the bag.

N の隣に あります

隣の = 'next to'. 銀行の隣に = next to the bank.

  • 郵便局は銀行の隣にあります。

    The post office is … the bank.

N の前に あります

前の = 'in front of'. スーパーの前に = in front of the supermarket.

  • スーパーの前に公園があります。

    There is a park … the supermarket.

N の外に あります

外の = 'outside'. 教室の外に = outside the classroom.

  • トイレは教室の外にあります。

    The toilet is … the classroom.

N の後ろに あります

後ろの = 'behind'. デパートの後ろに = behind the department store.

  • 駅はデパートの後ろにあります。

    The station is … the department store.

N の近くに あります

近くの = 'near'. 学校の近くに = near the school.

  • 学校の近くに本屋があります。

    There is a bookstore … the school.

A と B の間に あります

A と B の間に = 'between A and B'.

  • 郵便局は銀行と病院の間にあります。

    The post office is … the bank and the hospital.

どこに いますか

どこにいますか 'Where is ~?' for animate existence.

  • 犬はどこにいますか。

    Where … the dog?

  • 佐藤さんはどこにいますか。

    Where … Mr. Sato?

N の中に 何が ありますか

冷蔵庫の中に = inside the refrigerator. 何が ありますか.

  • 冷蔵庫の中に何がありますか。

    What is … the refrigerator?

駅の近くに あります

駅の近くに = near the station. あります for building.

  • わたしの家は駅の近くにあります。

    My house is … the station.

ベッドの上に います

ベッドの上に = on the bed. 猫がいます for animal.

  • ベッドの上に猫がいます。

    There is a cat … the bed.

木の下に います

木の下に = under the tree. 子供は animate → います.

  • 子供は木の下にいます。

    The children are … the tree.

学校の前に あります

学校の前に = in front of the school.

  • 学校の前に大きい公園があります。

    There is a big park … the school.

どこに ありますか

どこにありますか 'Where is ~?' for inanimate existence.

  • 銀行はどこにありますか。

    Where … the bank?

スーパーの後ろに あります

スーパーの後ろに = behind the supermarket.

  • わたしの家はスーパーの後ろにあります。

    My house is … the supermarket.

A と B の間に

病院と学校の間に = between the hospital and the school.

  • 公園は病院と学校の間にあります。

    The park is … the hospital and the school.

卵が あります

卵があります 'there are eggs'. が marks what exists.

  • 冷蔵庫の中に卵があります。

    There are eggs … the refrigerator.

事務所に います

事務所にいます 'is in the office'. います for people.

  • 田中さんは事務所にいます。

    Mr. Tanaka is … the office.

海の近くに あります

海の近くに = near the sea.

  • わたしの家は海の近くにあります。

    My house is … the sea.

テーブルの上に います

テーブルの上に = on the table. 猫がいます.
