Questions with か

か makes a question

Put か at the very end and the sentence becomes a question — the word order doesn't change. Answer with はい (yes) or いいえ (no).

  • がくせい です かgakusei desu kaAre you a student?

じゃ ありません · is not

Swap です for じゃ ありません to say "is not".

  • せんせい じゃ ありませんsensei ja arimasenI'm not a teacher.
